Your Whitsunday Chamber of Commerce strives to maintain a stable and dynamic economy which provides high employment for all economic resources. This is accomplished by working to advance, protect and serve the business interest of the community.

In addition, encouraging a unified public spirit in promoting the general community welfare complements this effort. Your Chamber is concerned with a broad spectrum of community needs and challenges in education, government, urban planning, social problems and infrastructure needs.

Your Chamber draws on the talents of some of the most capable people in the area who give leadership and effort on a voluntary basis to further community projects and progress.

The job of building a community is never finished, and your Whitsunday Chamber of Commerce is continually planning, working, leading and guiding in order for the community to prosper.

 
The compass rose indicates that not only does the Chamber have direction, but it is omni-directional and outward looking. It also signifies that Chamber has a sense of purpose, and is bold and inquisitive, being prepared to break new ground and explore new challenges. It shows that we live in a nautical region, through the compass’ long association with maritime travel. The map inside the compass identifies where we live, and highlights our association with the tourism based nature of most of our businesses by indicating the scenic beauty of our region through the depiction of the Whitsunday Islands. The themes of the logo are reinforced through the colours – deep blue for our local waters and gold for commerce. With regard to the slogan ‘Taking Care of Business’ Chamber has been doing that for nearly 20 years.
